The WSU Recreational Progamming class and Melvincares.com put on "A Flood Relief Concert" with singer-songwriter and pianist Rob Gonzales and his band. This concert made close to $1,300 for flood relief!!!

Members of the WSU Warriors football team, along with coaches, have been on-site since Sunday morning, assisting with security, traffic management and sandbagging.

Fund-raiser for the Winona County Red Cross at Football Game – One dollar from each ticket for the Saturday, Aug. 25, football game against Michigan Tech will go to the Winona County Red Cross.

Computer Donation – In partnership with Merrimak Capital of Denver,
Colo., WSU was able to facilitate a loan of 30 laptop computers for SEMCAC’s temporary headquarters in Winona, Minn. SEMCAC is a non-profit community action agency with the mission of assisting people to achieve or maintain independence and self-reliance through their own and community resources.

Free Water Testing for Private Wells – Winona State University’s Southeast Minnesota Analytical Service (SEMAS) Lab is offering water testing services at no charge to victims of the flood who have private wells. SEMAS cannot accept municipal water for analysis. The water quality tests will identify the presence of coliform bacteria only.  For more information or to set up an appointment call Barbara Keller at 507-457-5660.

Winona Media Flood Fundraiser – WSU volunteers staffing tables to receive donations at the Flood Donation Center all day Friday.
