Student Waiver Forms

Any student participating in a WSU volunteer activity related to the flood, either as an individual or as part of a class or student club activity, MUST fill out one of the waiver forms below before the activity.

  1. [Closed] Help needed for October 22nd deadline for victims

    Help is needed to distribute flyers to flood victims alerting them to the October 22nd deadline for filing for federal assistance. It is very important that this information get to everyone who was affected.

    Please call Rick Lane at the Winona Disaster Recover Center - (507) 457-8882 - if you can help distribute flyers before Monday.

  2. [CLOSED] Homecoming Cleanup in Rushford

    Due to weather forecast,
    the flood relief volunteer day in Rushford, MN has been rescheduled for Sunday, Oct. 7
    Volunteers - PLEASE register (or re-register) at Homecoming Cleanup by Friday, 10/5/07, 4:00 PM.

    Transportation, lunches, snacks, water, tools and protective equipment (i.e., masks, goggles, gloves, etc.) will be provided. All you have to do is show up ready to work! We will work, rain OR shine, so be prepared for the weather.

    Since this is still considered the "Homecoming Cleanup," the first 150 volunteers receive a flood relief t-shirt to wear throughout the day and to say thanks for giving your time. Those who signed up on the first call get first dibs!

    College Students Flood Cleanup Weekend -- Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 8-9

    Thanks MUCH to these volunteers - who ended up gutting one business and helping muck out a flooded basement at someone's home. You all were AWESOME!!

    Lakeside Apts. in Goodview - Sunday

    THANKS for everybody's help!!

    The Lakeside apartments in Goodview will be open to residents to come in and move there belongings out on Sunday. Help is needed for carrying out belongings from both flooded downstairs apartments and non-flooded upstairs apartments.

    Volunteers are needed between 7:45 am and 6:00 pm., to work 2-3 hour shifts. Masks and gloves will be provided. Boots or old tennis shoes should be worn. Please call Jan to let her know when you can come and help.

    VOLUNTEERS MUST HAVE HAD A TETANUS SHOT WITHIN THE LAST 5 YEARS. If you need a new one, you can go to Urgent Care at the Winona Hospital to get one. Volunteers will be asked to sign a waiver on site.

    MUST SEND EMAIL TO clogan@winona.edu to register.

    Volunteers needed to help collect money, boots, personal hygiene items, and cleaning supplies and to write receipts and answer questions for those people donating supplies to the flood relief efforts.

    WEAR PURPLE or WSU shirt.
