Hi! My name is Kayla Gaulke and I'm from River Falls, WI. I am 19 years old and a freshman at Winona State University. My major is psychology and I hope to become a school counselor after graduate school. As soon as I heard about this class I knew that I wanted to take it. I didn't know that much about Hurricane Katrina, but I knew that I wanted to help the victims. I volunteer a lot and I knew that this would be a volunteering experience that I would never forget. I also wanted to learn more about the past, current and future situation of New Orleans. Overall, I wanted to make more of myself and help those in need. All of the memories made and everything I learned will never be forgotten.
