Scholarship Information

The Computer Science department is pleased to announce scholarships for computer science students. The Buhler Scholarship in Computer Science and the Cichanowski-Logelin Scholarship in Computer Science were awarded for the first time in the fall of 1994. The scholarships are awarded to outstanding junior or senior students on the basis of academic achievement, promise in the field of computer science, and financial need. Scholarships may be renewed for one year.

Applications for these scholarships are taken during Spring Quarter. The procedure for applying is outlined below.

Additionally, CS students are eligible for other University wide scholarships, work study and student help.

The Buhler Memorial, The Cichanowski-Logelin, & The Winona Industry Alliance Scholarships in Computer Science

Amount: $500-$1500 (Renewable for one year)

Requirements:

  • Full-time, undergraduate WSU student
  • Junior or Senior status
  • Declared CS/CIS major
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0
  • Print out and fill out Application Form
  • Write a one page essay describing why you chose CS/CIS as a major and what your career plans are in your chosen field.
  • Include a copy of your transcript(s).
