Project 3 -- Ammended Report Requirements
The objectives of this assignment were for you
-
To gain experience working with the Linux operating system, both as a user
and at the system level.

To learn more about virtual memory, in particular,
-
how the operating system makes use of hardware-supplied information,
-
what is actually involved in page replacement, and
-
how the virtual memory part of the operating system interacts with other
parts of the system.

To study the relation between program execution behavior and different
kinds of page replacement schemes.

To get an appreciation for the size and complexity of an operating system.
Your project report should address each of these objectives and explain
to what extent they have been met. As part of this explanation, you
should describe the processes and strategies you used to work on the assignment.
You should also give specific information that demonstrates that you have
met the objetive. In other words, tell me what you did and what you
learned with repect to each of the objectives.
The report should be no longer than 5 pages, not including any code.
Code to explain how you did something should be included as an attachment.
The report must be typed, spell-checked, and organized.
It is due on, or before, Monday morning, 12/11/00 at 9:00 a.m.
