Scholarships are awarded to students for being oustanding in one way or another. Here are some of the scholarships available to CS students:
Scholarship for Women of Color in Technology
- Each recipient must be a woman of color enrolled full-time and in good standing at Winona State University(minimum 12 credits per semester, Fall and Spring).
- Each recipient must be Computer Science, Data Science, or Mathematics & Statistics major.
- Each recipient must be Sophmore, Junior, or Senior status.
- International students are eligible.
- Applicants will respond to the following prompt: Please describe the way in which you will help women’s education in the technology field after you graduate and settle into your career.
Gerry Cichanowski Computer Science Scholarship
- Each recipient must be an undergraduate student enrolled full-time and in good standing at Winona State University, on the Winona campus (minimum of 12 credits per semester, Fall and Spring).
- Each recipient must be declared Computer Science major who has taken at least 4 core program courses from WSU on the Winona campus, and must be enrolled in at least 2 Winona campus computer science classes.
- Each recipient must be Junior or Senior status.
- Each recipient must have a major GPA of 2.85 or higher.
Buhler Memorial Scholarship
- Each recipient must be an undergraduate student enrolled full-time at Winona State University.
- Each recipient must be classified as a Junior or Senior and be in good standing at Winona State University with a minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Each recipient must be a declared major in Winona State University’s Computer Science or Management Information Systems programs.
Hugh Ouellette WSU Rochester Center Computer Science Scholarship
- Each recipient must be an undergraduate student enrolled full-time or part-time at Winona State University-Rochester Center.
- Each recipient must be Junior or Senior in good standing at Winona State University with a minimum GPA of 3.25.
- Each recipient must be declared a major in Winona State University's Computer Science Program.
- Each recipient must submit an essay describing their future goals.
Federated Insurance Computer Science Scholarship
- Each recipient must be an undergraduate student enrolled full-time and in good standing at Winona State University, on the Winona campus (minimum of 12 credits per semester, Fall and Spring).
- Each recipient must be declared Computer Science major or Management Information Systems.
- Each recipient must be Junior or Senior status.
- Each recipient must have a major GPA of 3.0 or higher.
Winona Industry Alliance Computer Science Scholarship
- Each recipient must be an undergraduate student enrolled full-time.
- Each recipient must be a declared major in Computer Science .
- Each recipient must be junior or senior statusand in good standing at Winona State University with an overall minimum GPA of 3.0 and with a minimum Computer Science GPA of 3.0.
- Each recipient must submit a one to two page essay describing why they have chosen Computer Science as a major and what their future professoinal goals/objectives are.
- Preference will be given to an immigrant from another country.
Befidi Computer Science Scholarship
- Each recipient must be an undergraduate student sophomore, junior or senior enrolled full-time at WSU
- Each recipient must maintain a GPA of 3.25
- Each recipient must be an African or African American Student
