My name is Elizabeth Iacono and I am a junior here at Winona State. My major is Biology Cell Molecular Option/ Pre-Dentistry. I have always been interested in volunteer work and I dedicate a lot of my free time to helping out the community in any way I can. I had wanted to travel to New Orleans ever since the hurricane hit to help out and this class gave me that amazing opportunity. The experience opened my eyes and made me reevaluate my beliefs on the whole situation. I hope through my experience to enlighten people on the reality of what life is like in New Orleans in the aftermath of Katrina.
