My name is Rachel Christenson and I am a senior social work student at WSU. Advocating for the most vulnerable of our society is something that I have decided to devote my life to and this trip made me more certain of that endeavor. Human suffering is, unfortunately, a part of this world, but I feel that everyone can do their part to alleviate that suffering. The work we were able do to in New Orleans was meaningful and greatly appreciated by the people who live there. I am so grateful to have been part of something so amazing and I hope to have many more experiences like this throughout my life.
