Erin MorcombMy name is Erin Morcomb. I am a freshman at Winona State University majoring in pre-medicine, and I hope to go on to medical school to become a doctor. This class immediately drew my attention as a great opportunity to learn more about one of the most vital components of my major: how to help people by giving more of myself. Too often we take for granted what we really have, and we always want more. More money, more recognition, more prestige. This trip really taught me that fortune is not counted by the amount of money we have or by how many awards we have won in life. The real riches are family, friends, and love as well as a feeling of hope and survival that the city of New Orleans truly has, which will definitely lead to a better "new" New Orleans.
