COME ONE, COME ALL! In the Heart of the Beast Puppet and Mask Theatre Here at WSU

In the Heart of the Beast Puppet and Mask Theatre (HOBT) spent the week of October 19-24 at Winona State working with students and community members to create a drinking water related dance performance. The work during the week and the final performance honored water - the element that nourishes our lives. Participants showcased the work in a public performance on October 24, and the final version will be part of WSU's annual dance event, Dancescape, on February 12-14, 2009.

Initial Call:

The Winona community is invited to join WSU students in creating this dance performance celebrating our water commons. The opportunity is free and no experience is necessary! All participants must be available to commit to workshops and rehearsals during the week of October 19-24. There will be varying levels of participation ("chorus" or "core") determined in the opening workshop, and these levels will determine the number of rehearsals participants will need to attend. "Core" participants must also be available to continue to rehearse the work during February, 2009, for the Dancescape performance.
