Biography

Dr. Mingrui Zhang is Professor and Chair in the department of Computer Science at Winona State University in Winona, Minnesota. He completed his Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of South Florida in 1999. He has a Master's degrees in both Computer Science and Marine Science from the University of South Florida and he earned his Bachelor's degree in Electronics from Peking University in Beijing, PR China. His research interests are in Machine Learning and Image Processing. Some of his hobbies include: running, hiking, traveling and cross-country skiing. He recently climbed Mount Kilimanjaro!
