Biography

Dr. Shimin Li is an Assistant Professor of Computer Science at Winona State University in Winona, Minnesota. He received his Ph.D. degree from the Department of Computer Science at Utah State University (USU) in May 2018. He earned an M.S. degree in Control Science and Engineering from East China University of Science and Technology (ECUST), Shanghai, China, in 2010 and received a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering and Information from Northeast Petroleum University (NEPU) in 2006. He worked at China UnionPay as a senior software engineer from July 2010 to June 2014 and then began his Ph.D. program at USU. During the weekends he likes to go hiking or running. He also enjoys reading and if he has extra time, which is rare, playing video games.
