Welcome to the HRI site!

In the Spring 2006 semester, 20 WSU college students, from first-year to graduating-senior, took a 3-credit class to study the culture and history of New Orleans, and to invsetigate the impact of Hurricane Katrina on the people of that city. Over Spring Break, the students, course instructors, and 4 community members flew down to New Orleans and spent 9 days experiencing the city first-hand and working on relief projects throughout the city. This site tells the story about the class and the service experience, in the words and pictures of the students.
